Real Life Community Behavioral Health is a licensed Behavioral Health Agency in Clark County, WA. This Master’s Degree Level Clinician (Associate Licensed) is responsible for the provision of mental health outpatient therapy in a private practice setting, utilizing in office and telehealth services. We work with a combination of Medicaid funded insurances, private insurances and private pay.  This position adheres to the standards and expectations set forth by our Behavioral Health Agency License through the State of Washington.

Commission Based Positions (for both associate licensed and licensed clinicians) are characterized as a part time, commission based position (commission based upon completed and paid sessions and accompanying documentation with a set percent of collected session income), while still receiving the benefits of licensure supervision, access to CEU's, and access to medical benefits.  As a part time position, there is no set session minimum, allowing a provider the flexibility to use this as a part time job, or their primary practice.   

Direct Service Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families (if qualified) utilizing evidence-based practices in office and/or telehealth settings. Therapy services include harm reduction strategies, family systems approach of identifying social roles, relationships, and family functioning and is trauma-informed & utilizes evidence-based interventions
  • Work from a strengths-based/team-based approach in coordinating the provision of services.
  • Interact with community partners and resources as part of case management activities when the clients present as needing additional resources (e.g. - engaging with their PCP or med management provider, accessing addiction related service, etc).
  • Learn and adhere to the service expectations of our Behavioral Health License, including service and documentation standards (we provide training on this and, as a clinician, would be responsible for following these standards).
  • Complete documentation & billing within expected timelines & expectations.
  • Utilize 75% of provided office space for primarily in office sessions.  For example, if a clinician requests 4 office hours, that they are expected to utilize 3 of those 4 hours for sessions).
  • Complete and integrate provided assessments as part of the treatment planning process (e.g. - PHQ9, GAD7, PCL-5, etc)
  • Participate in weekly individual meetings with direct supervisor (this will also serve as your licensure supervision for those this applies to) and group supervision every other week (also part of your licensure supervision for those this applies to).  These meetings should total up to 6 hours of monthly supervision hours. (adjusted based upon caseload size).
  • Initial training should be completed within one week of hire date and must be completed prior to seeing clients..  All training is provided by RLCBH and is completed independently (with support from a supervisor and/or our trainer).  Initial training can include attending 1-2 shadowing sessions with current RLCBH clinicians.  RLCBH also conducts annual/ongoing training as requested as part of our Behavioral Health License.
  • All clinicians are expected to maintain their associate or independent license with WA state. Operate within the rules and ethics of your field as outlined in Washington State RCW/WAC and NASW & ACA. All Licensed & Associate Licensed Clinicians are required by the state to complete 36 hours of CE’s every 2 years, with 6 of those being Ethics hours and maintain an “Active” and “In Good Standing” status with their Associate License.
  • Operate within the rules and ethics of your field as outlined in Washington State RCW/WAC and NASW & ACA.

Qualifications and Position Expectations

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.
  • Active Washington State License or Associate License in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC/LMHCA), Social Work (LICSW/LICSWA) or Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT/LMFTA).  Licensure must also be “in good standing.” Inability to obtain or maintain this may result in employment termination (as the Agency would be unable to bill for your services). A Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor Credential is also acceptable.
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Applicants must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to beginning employment.
  • Be able to provide services professionally in both office and telehealth settings

Benefits

  • Base pay of $16.28 per hour.  This position is not expected to exceed forty (40) hours per week, and any work exceeding forty (40) hours per week must be preauthorized by RLCBH.  
  • 36%-38% commission on all billed and collected revenue attributable to therapist. Commission (excluding based hourly rate ranges from roughly $37 to $65 per billed and collected session, depending on the reimbursement rate of individual insurance providers.
  • Commission Bonus - Increase to a 70% commission rate when exceeding set revenue mark.
  • Sick leave (1hr/40hrs worked) and is accessible following initial 90 day probation period and begins accruing on the first day of employment.
  • CEU’s - RLCBH provides access to a library of training that includes 100+ hours worth of CEU’s (including Ethics)
  • Medical/Dental/Vision benefits available to purchase at 50% of our entry level benefits cost & becomes accessible to you at 90 days.  Options to buy up to higher tier plans.  
    For Commission Based Clinicians who elect to opt out of our Medical Plan, the commission percent is set at 38%.  
  • RLCBH has a 401K program that is available to you to contribute to (Commission based positions are not eligible for matching).
  • RLCBH is an approved HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) and WA Health Corps site.  HRSA offers a student loan reimbursement programs with 2 years or more commitments to employment.  Qualifying staff can apply for student loan reimbursement through these programs subject to availability. Awarding of student loan repayment is the decision of the individual program, RLCBH has no involvement in the decision making of who gets loan forgiveness.
  • RLCBH will provide you with referrals based upon your preferred demographics and preferred caseload.  RLCBH is a primary provider within Clark County for clients with private insurances, private pay and Medicaid funded insurances.
  • Upon licensure, RLCBH will credential you with our network of insurance providers.
  • On Site support and consultation with one of our Clinical Supervisors.  Clinical Supervisors also serve as employment supervisors and can support you in meeting our BHA standards for services and documentation.
  • Option to transition to one of our Full Time Clinician positions (based upon qualifying for and the availability of the position and having achieved a caseload minimum).
  • Independence in setting your weekly schedule (coordinated with client/office availability)
  • We provide you a documentation & scheduling platform that includes a Client Portal for completing all documentation and integrating desired assessments.
  • RLCBH provides office space (times/days determined by availability and number of sessions weekly you seek/complete).  We ask all our clinicians to utilize at least 75% of their scheduled office time for actual sessions.  Office space is primarily used for in-office sessions. 
  • We provide you a Telehealth Platform in which to provide Telehealth sessions.  All our positions may be mix of in person and virtual.
  • We have a “team” environment and provide regular ongoing support for both clinical and documentation related activities.  You’ll have access to regular consultation & support  with other team members and a supervisor as you continue to grow into your practice
  • This position is considered part time in nature and can be used to supplement a full time job elsewhere, or be your primary clinical practice.

Schedule

  • You set your own schedule - Clinicians are provided office space to adequately provide their caseload of in-office sessions.  We request that requested office space is utilized 75% of the time for completed sessions, primarily in-office).  Clinicians completing 25 or more sessions weekly are considered "primary" office holders. 
  • For Telehealth based sessions, these can be provided (based on your capacity to provide a professional and confidential setting) as preferred by you and your client/s.  RLCBH will provide the technological platforms for you to provide telehealth.
  • Individual supervisions weekly where frequency can be adjusted following your initial 90 days and demonstration of being able to meet service & documentation standards. Frequency is also adjusted depending upon caseload.  We also provide weekly Group Supervisions at various times that also count towards licensure.

Work Conditions

  • Service provisions are provided in office and via telehealth. Telehealth preference can be increased based upon clinician preference and client availability
  • For telehealth sessions, we support you in having a telehealth platform to use and provide coaching/consultation around identifying a setting that is professional and confidential
  • Some clinicians, based upon personal circumstances, prefer providing only telehealth services to meet personal needs.  This is also an option for those preferring to do so.

  • RLCBH will provide Personal Protective Equipment when required for in person sessions/in office work when mandated by the state.
  • RLCBH provides a system of navigating COVID related barriers, offering Telehealth options to all clients (when exposed or quarantining) and clinicians (if they’ve been exposed or tested positive).
